Ruth

We invite you to delve into one of Scripture’s most beautiful stories—one woven through loss, loyalty, redemption, and divine providence. Set in the chaotic period of the Judges, Ruth unfolds as a story within a story within a story: the personal restoration of Naomi’s family, the preparation of a nation for its coming king, and the greater redemption God accomplishes for His people through Christ.

Through five sessions, we will journey with Naomi and Ruth from famine-stricken Bethlehem to the foreign land of Moab and back again, where God’s grace quietly breaks through hardship, grief, and impossibility. We will explore key covenant themes—hesed (faithful love), menuchah (rest and security), and ga’al (kinsman-redeemer)—to see how a foreign widow becomes part of Israel’s most important lineage, leading ultimately to King David…and to Jesus.

God sees the overlooked, welcomes the outsider, restores the broken, and redeems what seems lost.
Where Ruth finds a redeemer in Boaz, we find ours fully in Christ—who had the right, the resources, and the resolve to save.
